The name Bachmann is well known in the trains market. It was in 1968 when Bachmann began creating N scale trains. Things didn’t quite go as smooth at first, but a couple years later Bachmann was back on track. The company began creating its first HO scale trains in 1970. Following Bachmann’s HO scale introduction; a few more changes were in place. Both profits and production would fluctuate over the next five years or so, but the growth of the company became steady.
Some of the more popular products created by Bachmann include both their Spectrum line and the Big Haulers line. It was in 1988 when Spectrum was first introduced. Bachmann Spectrum trains were of better quality and detail. A couple years later Bachmann would introduce a G scale train set, better known as Big Haulers. Big Haulers were a big hit with train and model railroad enthusiasts. And to this day, train collectors worldwide continue to collect a wide variety of Bachmann trains and accessories.
